In a phrase: I'm a creative writer, graduate student, and automotive/motorsport journalist who has a great habit of finding opportunities via passion.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in English literature and an honor's certificate in Creative Writing after turning my 30-page thesis into a 90-page novella. I wasn't quite ready to let go of the academy yet, which now finds me at Arcadia University's dual degree program in Creative Writing and English Literature.
I was published in UT's literary journals each year I attended school, from 2014 through 2018. My work can be found in the Hothouse, Echo, and Analecta.
I've been working with Jalopnik since March of 2018, first as a weekend freelancer and currently as a full-time blogger.
My passion is motorsport—I've been avidly attending races and diving into the culture of racing since 2014. If there's anyone out there with an encyclopedic knowledge of open-wheel racing in the 1970s, it's me.
